Introduction

Hello!

My name is Grace Park, and this is my second year at UC Berkeley.
I recently switched majors to EECS from bioengineering.
I still hope to take some bioengineering classes, especially ones like biomedical instrumentation or medical imaging devices.
But for now, my focus is on learning about computer science.
One of the most interesting classes I'm taking right now is the artificial intelligence class, which I'm really looking forward to.

In regards to IEOR 190G, I hope that this class will help me have a better grasp of the legal aspects of engineering, since in the real world, just being able to engineer new technologies isn't enough for someone to actually bring these new technologies into the world. As an engineer, I believe that it is really important to thoroughly understand intellectual property and patents, since often legal struggles can be a source of pain for engineers like me.

So I hope I'll be able to get a lot out of this class, and hopefully it'll have a positive impact on my future.
